Full-time - Permanent - Start Date January 2025

 

We are looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Head Teacher for a start date of January 2025, located in the small village of Toynton All Saints.

 

Toynton is a nurturing and welcoming small school with big ambitions. Our well-behaved pupils demonstrate a love of learning incorporating our 6 R’s (respect, responsibility, resourcefulness, resilience, reflection, risk taking and relationships).

 

    We are looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Head Teacher for a start date of January 2025, located in the small village of Toynton All Saints.

    We are an Ofsted-rated Good primary school (since September 2012) with Ofsted most recently visiting in March 2023 for Section 8 inspection). The school is welcoming and inclusive and provides a secure and nurturing learning environment. We are proud of the achievements of our children, our school values, and our skilled and dedicated staff, who make Toynton a welcoming and nurturing place to be.

    The Governing Body has a supportive and collaborative relationship with the Senior Leadership Team. Toynton All Saints Primary School, built in 1845, has become the local school of choice to surrounding villages and the Spilsby community, offering a forest school, providing additional learning opportunities, a wrap- around care provision and hot meals for pupils cooked on site.

    Fluency Duty

     

    In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

    Caretaker

    12.5 hours per week – term time plus teacher training days and 10 days during the school holidays.  This is a permanent position.  LCC G4 (Equivalent to £12.42 per hour)

     

    Required for September 2024

     

    We are a flourishing, rural primary school, with just over 150 children, looking to appoint a Caretaker to join our school team.  This post can be combined with the Cleaner position for the right candidate. Hours are to be worked outside of school core hours.

     

    Duties to include:

    • Maintain the security of the premises and its contents, including regular checking and testing of fire alarm.
    • Be a trustworthy key holder responsible for the opening and closing of the site.
    • Carry out routine maintenance of buildings and décor i.e. minor decoration, repairs and those tasks which would not normally require the services of an outside contractor.
    • Be available to attend the school in cases of emergency outside the working week e.g. intruders, fire, weather damage.
    • To carry out weekly fire alarms checks and to regularly check fire extinguishers.
    • To carry out weekly and monthly emergency lighting checks.
    • Reporting to School Business Manager all matters relating to the premises, equipment and materials
    • To ensure that external areas, paths and drives remain free from litter and hazardous material and that drains and gullies are free flowing and clean as appropriate
    • To ensure that pathways are clear of snow and apply salt when required, keeping records of this action
    • To safely store cleaning materials and equipment

    17.5 hours per week - term time plus teacher training days and 10 days during the school holidays.  This is a permanent position.  LCC G1 (Equivalent to £11.53 per hour)

     

    Required for September 2024

     

    We are a flourishing, rural primary school, with just over 150 children, looking to appoint a Cleaner to join our school team.  This post can be combined with the Caretaker position for the right candidate.  Hours are to be worked outside of school core hours.

     

    Duties to include:

    • Ordering cleaning equipment and materials and the storage thereof
    • Reporting to School Business Manager all matters relating to the cleaning
    • To be responsible for the cleaning of all areas of the school, including toilets, in accordance with the County Council’s current specification to achieve County standards.
    • To be a key holder for the school premises where it is considered necessary by the Headteacher
    • To safely store cleaning materials and equipment
