Lesley Anne Coulthurst

Ex-Officio (Head teacher) - Standards in the Core Subjects

It has been my absolute privilege to be the Head Teacher of Toynton All Saints Primary School for the last 5 years. During this time I have watched school grow from strength to strength and am proud to be a part of such a warm and happy place to learn and play. My role as Head Teacher Governor is to report to the governing body on school improvement strategies, organisation, teaching and learning, engagement with the local community and child safety and wellbeing. Long term, my role is to ensure the sustainability of the school for our children and for future generations.

Christopher James Powell

LA Governor - Chair of Governors - Maths Standards - Chair of Finance

I am currently the Chair of the Governors. I have 2 children in the school and joined the Governing body to make a true difference to school. I am a company Director with a worldwide sales and marketing background. I have high ambitions for Toynton to become the school of choice by providing high quality teaching standards and opportunities for the children. I have a keen interest in making sure we enhance all the children’s learning be it in the classroom or outside in our unique setting at forest school.

Elizabeth Heafield

Parent Governor - Vice Chair - Pupil Premium

I have recently joined the team of governors as my oldest child is currently attending Toynton. My background is in Children’s Services, specifically child protection. My motivation to join the team is to encourage the school to continue to develop into a positive direction, and to ensure there are equal opportunities for disadvantaged children.

Ivan Trevor Ward

Parent Governor – EYFS - Health and Safety

I am so pleased and honoured to have been elected as a Parent Governor for Toynton All Saints Primary School. I live with my wife and two children in Keal Cotes and our Son & Daughter are both pupils at the School.  I have spent in excess of 25 years within the Commercial Insurance Industry up till 2014, after which I became my sons Carer.  As well as being a Carer I am a Photographer and have been for approximately 20 years. I love all aspects of photography. Toynton All Saints Primary School is a fantastic school and is going from strength to strength and I hope my time as a Governor will be productive for the school.

Penny Thomas-Karley

Co-opted Governor – SEND - Literacy Standards

My husband and I have lived in Toynton All Saints since 2004, when we moved up from London.  I have been teaching since 1991 and have worked in various secondary schools in both South London and Lincolnshire.  For many years I worked in special education, initially as a teacher and later as a SENDCO. For the last decade or so I have been teaching mainly English at KS3 and KS4.  My knowledge of special needs and the secondary curriculum are useful, particularly with KS2 and KS3 transition.

Since I live in the village, I am able to attend most of the events that are held out of school hours and have enjoyed seeing all the excellent initiatives that the school has introduced even in the short time I have been a Governor.

Julia Greenfield

Associate Member - SENCO

I became a class teacher at Toynton All Saints Primary School in November 2007 and have since become the Special Education Needs and Disability Co-ordinator and Key Stage 2 Lead. Alongside my teaching and SEND experience, I have three primary–age daughters, so  am able to offer both a school and parent perspective. I absolutely love working in such a nurturing, positive and happy school and I want to ensure that this ethos continues.
