At Toynton All Saints Primary School, the safety, wellbeing and welfare of every child is our highest priority. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and expect all staff, governors, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment.
We believe that every child has the right to feel safe, valued and respected, and to be protected from harm. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and is at the heart of everything we do.
Our safeguarding procedures are in line with statutory guidance issued by the Department for Education, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).

How We Keep Children Safe
We work hard to create a culture where children feel safe and know they can talk to trusted adults. Our safeguarding arrangements include:
- Robust recruitment and vetting procedures.
- Regular safeguarding training for all staff.
- A curriculum that teaches children how to stay safe, including online.
- Effective procedures for identifying and supporting vulnerable pupils.
- Partnership working with parents, carers and external agencies.
- Clear procedures for reporting and responding to concerns
Prevent Duty
As part of our safeguarding responsibilities, the school has a duty under Section 26 of the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015 to have due regard to preventing people from being drawn into terrorism.
We provide a safe environment where pupils can discuss challenging issues, develop critical thinking skills and learn about diversity, respect and British values.
